Liverpool Fans Thought He Would Be Sold Off, Klopp Has Offered Him New Deal
Should Liverpool failed to properly utilize the upcoming summer transfer window to add more strength to their squad (especially signing high quality defenders), then they won’t be fit to challenge next season’s premier league title.
Even though the Anfield club are the leading goalscorers in the English top flight at the moment, but their shaky defence is making them still unbalanced among the top four.
And ahead of the summer transfer, the club have awarded one of their defenders in the person of Dejan Lovren a new contract that is worth £25 million.
Even though he is has been inconsistent at the back line for Liverpool this season, he has been granted a new deal at the club that will make him go home with £100,000 each week.
The Croatian international, making comments about the new deal, attested that it is one special day for him and his family because it is his dream to stay long with the Anfield club – which is the club he loves so much.
Lovren was terrible in the last premier league match against Crystal Palace at Anfield, and in 25 league appearances for Liverpool this season so far, he has only helped Klopp’s side keep 7 clean sheets.
