Nigerian coach selected for coaching programme at Arsenal

A Nigerian coach named Adegun Shola John has been selected as part of the six coaches from across Africa for the new Future Stars coaching Programme at Arsenal.

The selection was made by a panel of judges from the North London club and its official online money transfer partner, WorldRemit.

The Nigerian coach will join others, Ahmed Ali (Somaliland), Hamisi Mohamed (Kenya), Innocents Yeboah-Num (Ghana), Tersia Davids (South Africa) and Titus Tongesai (Zambia) to compete in a public vote on FutureStars.WorldRemit.com for the ticket to attend the programme at Arsenal, fully sponsored by WorldRemit.

The programme is put in place to encourage grassroots contributions of youth coaches in their localities and voting for this privilege begins on September 28.

Shortlisted coaches have also received Arsenal replica shirts for their kids numbering to over 500 in number.

Adegun is well known for his love for grassroots football and has impacted on both male and female players for about three years and still counting.

He has longed for this opportunity and will not hesitate in learning more from other Arsenal coaches if given the opportunity.

The Lagos based coach is known for his discipline, hard work, passion, respect for players and a good relationship with his colleagues.
