French Ligue 1 outfit Lille are reported to have rejected a £50 million offer for Nicolas Pepe from the North London outfit Arsenal ahead of the summer transfer window.
The North London outfit are known to be desperate about the Ivory Coast striker having made efforts in the last summer transfer window where they were unsuccessful.
There is no doubt that Nicolas Pepe is one of the hottest players in Europe at the moment as he has become a force in the French Ligue 1 outfit.
The report claims that the Gunners are not alone in the race for the player as a £50 million bid was also rejected from Man City who are also keen on his signature.
The club has made it clear that they received offers of £50 million but they refused as they are only ready to bargain for something more for the player.
It has been hinted by the club officials that they are interested in parting ways with the star player but that will only happen for the right price and a Champions League club, having claimed that he deserves to play at a top club.
Arsenal are hoping to land Nicolas Pepe as a replacement for Danny Welbeck who could be leaving the club at the end of the season.
