Arsenal may have gotten a massive boost as midfielder Mesut Ozil has spoken of the side amid severe uncertainty over his playing future at the North London club.

The German international attacking midfielder has only six months left on his Arsenal deal, and as things stand the playmaker will be free to leave for nothing in the summer.

While Arsenal will hope that he decides to sign a fresh contract before summer, the worry will only keep growing, the longer the wait lingers that they’ll lose the creative midfielder for free when the season ends.

However, while this could mean anything, the German has spoken well of what his spell at the North London club has meant to him, which could possibly be understood as a good assessment of where he wants to spend his future from a Gunners perspective.

Mesut Ozil said in a Question and Answer session by Sky Sports that he join the club because of their rich history and his desire to grow and display his talent at the North London club.

Ozil, 29, has netted four goals and made five assists in 17 matches so far this campaign, and he was really influential when Arsenal take on Premier League Champions Chelsea yesterday night.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger remains sure that he won’t be offloading his star attacking midfielder in the summer.
