As La Liga giants Real Madrid continue to be linked heavily with a switch for Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard, reports suggest a possible swap deal could open the way for the move to materialize.
Indispensable hazard
The 27-year-old forward remains a vital figure in the Blues bid for success going forward, and that’s shown in his figures of 15 goals in all and nine assists in 35 matches in all competitions.
In turn, if Chelsea were forced to offload one of their top players, they’d undoubtedly require filling the boots left behind and as per Mundo Deportivo, Spaniard Marco Asensio could be the player to do just that.
Possible swap deal
It’s suggested that the two sides could negotiate a transfer deal which would see the duo swap places as the reigning Premier League Champions are interested in the Spain international attacking midfielder as he continues to display his quality for Real.
The 22-year-old attacking midfielder came off the substitute bench to create two goals in Real Madrid’s victory over Frech Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League during the week, in a reminder of his quality.
He now has eight goals and five assists in 34 matches for the campaign, although he has extremely struggled to cement a regular place in Zinedine Zidane’s starting eleven, as shown on the continent this week, and that has led to the rumour over his Real future and a possible departure.
