Despite all odds, Chelsea successfully evicted London rivals Tottenham Hotspur from the FA Cup last weekend.
They return to premier league duties when they host Southampton FC at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea’s boss chose to rest a handful of his key players against Tottenham in the semi final encounter at Wembley.
So, we’re expecting stars like Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas to return to the starting XI when they clash with Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Chelsea’s temporary skipper Gary Cahill wasn’t fielded in the FA Cup match due to illness and it was young Dutchman Nathan Ake who was used in his place.
Nevertheless, Cahill is expected to be fit against the Saints and start the match.
Eden Hazard is expected to get back to the starting XI while Samba star Willian should go back to the bench. Same thing is expected of Costa and Batushayi.
Since Southampton are known for their rock solid defense, it is likely that Conte would start a creative midfielder in the person of Cesc Fabregas, while Defensive Midfielder Nemanja Matic should sit on the bench.
This is Chelsea’s possible 3-4-3 starting XI vs Southampton.
