Red Devils want top target from Bayern Munich

Jose Mourinho led Manchester United squad are keen on bringing in a new defender before the close of the transfer window.

Despite Manchester United being stockpiled with over five defenders, their Portugal international coach is hoping to add a new defender.

Old Trafford has the likes of Eric Bailey, Ashely Young, Phil Jones, Macros Rojo among others but Mourinho is insisting on bringing in a new defender.

According to report, the top target Man United are hoping to bring on board is Germany and Bayern Munich top defender, Jerome Boateng.

The German club,  Bayern Munich are ready to let go of the player but only if the club interested in him is ready to pay between £45 million to £50 million.

However, the Red Devils are not ready to make such payment for the player as they want Bayern Munich to lessen the amount.

So far Manchester United have been able to sign just three players, they include, Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant.

But Mourinho is keen on adding another player to his squad as a new season of the  English Premier League is set to commence soon.

Jose Mourinho will have to look elsewhere if Manchester United refuse to table an offer.
