Tiemoue Bakayoko

In the ongoing winter transfer window, English Premier League giant Manchester United have been linked with more than a few top quality players already. Once again, Monaco seniorman Tiemoue Bakayoko is back in the limelight.

Last year October, Manchester United were linked with the Frenchman and reports from Le10Sport claimed that United manager Jose Mourinho is already in love with him.

Presently, a latest report by the Daily Record revealed that the red devils are looking to finally sign him this month. It was nevertheless additionally added that the Old Trafford club are facing competition from Premier League rivals Manchester City and Chelsea.

Tiemoue Bakayoko is a strong defensive midfielder and has featured for his Ligue 1 club 26 times this season, scoring twice in the process.

Even though the 22-year old is yet to make his debut for the senior national side, he has so far played 13 games for the U-21 French side.

It was reported that Monaco valued him for around €25million, though the Times reported last month that Chelsea want Bakayoko who could cost about £40million.

As things stand now, Morgan Schneiderlin is expected to leave Old Trafford this month and Mourinho lack a top quality defensive midfielder in the squad. So bringing Bakoyoko in can solve Mourinho’s problem.
