Former Premier League champions Chelsea will have to fend off the threat from French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) in their bid to sign Andreas Pereira from top-four rivals Manchester United.
Popular publication UOL unveiled the French giants have already made an offer to sign the Red Devils midfielder ahead of the upcoming transfer window scheduled to start as from the 1st of January.
The Blues were the first club to make an offer for the 22-year-old before PSG followed in their footsteps by stepping up their interest in Pereira.
London rivals Arsenal are also said to be interest in the Brazilian player.
Andreas Pereira is in demand amongst clubs despite the fact that he has been on the fringes of the first team since he returned to Old Trafford from a loan spell earlier in the summer.
He spent the whole of last season at Spanish La Liga giants Valencia on loan from Manchester United.
The Brazilian star has just six months left on his current Manchester United contract though the Red Devils have the right to activate the additional year in his deal thus taking his time at the club till the end of the 2019/20 season.
