Manchester United Jose Mourinho has began talks with Barcelona attacking midfielder, Arda Turan, according to reports.

The 30-year-old has been tipped to leave the Camp Nou this summer due to his reduced role since he moved there from Atletico Madrid; with reports, the midfielder has started talks with several clubs to leave this window.

There have suggestions of interest from a couple of clubs in Premier League while Turkish giants Galatasaray are also said to in talks to lure the midfielder back to his home country.

Arsenal were said to have held talks with Barcelona over the possibility of signing Turan as they searched for a replacement for Mesut Ozil who appeared to be stalling on extending his stay at the Emirates.

In recent days, Manchester United are believed to have started moving for the Turkish skipper with reports that Jose Mourinho is keen on adding the attacker to his ranks before the end of the summer window.

Reports in Spanish outlet AS claim that Mourinho has now triggered talks with the midfielder and a deal could materialise due to the long lasting relationship between the player’s agent Jorge Mendes and United boss.

The Red Devils boss has not hidden his desire to sign a wide attacker this summer and could see a bargain in Turan if he fails to lure Ivan Perisic or Gareth Bale.
