Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas is backing his club to put in a strong display when they play host to La Liga giants Barcelona in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last 16 encounter on Tuesday.

Chelsea are preparing to take on the Catalan club at Stamford Bridge in the first leg of their clash as they attempt to take a step towards making it to the quarter-finals of the continental competition.
Cesc Fabregas will be hoping to be included in the starting lineup for the game against his former side as the Blues try and take a good lead in the 16 clash in west London.
Moral boosting FA Cup win
The west London outfit head into the match fresh from having sealed their place in the next round – quarter-finals of the Emirates FA Cup with a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Hull at home on Friday night.
And the Spain international is confident that Chelsea will be able to put in a solid performance against the Spanish La Liga Leaders.
Big clash
The midfielder is cited as saying by the Daily Express the match is a big one for both sides.
The reigning Premier League Champions are currently in the fourth position in the League as they chase UEFA Champions League qualification in the manager’s second season at the club.
The former Arsenal man played a major role in helping the Blues to win the Premier League title last term under the Italian tactician.
