Sky Sports reporter and former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp has pointed out Belgium international striker Romelu Lukaku as the only player who has been unsuccessful under the new interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over as United boss in December after the sack of former Portuguese boss Jose Mourinho and has been able to return the club back to winning ways with players returning back to good form under him.
That cannot be said of Romelu Lukaku who is still struggling like he was under the former manager. The only difference for the former Everton star is that he was able to win the heart of the Portuguese boss for selection despite his lack of cutting edge.
According to o Redknapp, Romelu Lukaku has started only two Premier League match under the former United forward since December which to him is a bad sign.
He noted that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been able to adopt a style that gives players the freedom to play on the pitch, adding that he expects the Belgium to return back to form under such a circumstance.
Redknapp therefore stated that he doubts if the Belgium international will ever get to his best again as he might not be handed the opportunity to play always.
