In the ongoing transfer session, English Premier League giants Manchester United are aiming at three different Atletico Madrid stars- the trio of Antoine Griezmann, Saul Niguez and Yannick Carrasco.
Recently, The Times claimed that United boss Jose Mourinho is planning a mammoth double deal to bring in both Niguez and Griezmann to the Old Trafford next summer.
Additionally, OK Diario reported also that the Portuguese boss Mourinho intend signing Carrasco who has a release clause of £85 million in his contract.
United must not wait for next summer and have to spend money to sign the Belgian international this month. This is why Carrasco should be the priority as he is presenting having a nice time this season in Atletico. His 10 goals presently placed him ahead of the duo of Griezmann and Niguez who have scored 9 and 3 times respectively.
Additionally, 23-year-old Carrasco would be a better fit for United’s current system than the other two. Saul Niguez is being used in the central midfield or on the right hand side of the attack, and it’s a known fact that the red devils already have an overcrowded midfield- with Armenian Mkhitaryan already covering the right wing.
Griezmann on the other hand mainly plays behind the center forward, and presently in-form Frenchman Paul Pogba is playing behind Ibrahimovic.
However, Carrasco’s preferred position is the left wing. And when compared to the likes of Martial and Rashford who plays in that position at Man United, Carrasco is better than them.
