According to Spanish media reports, Premier League giants Chelsea are close to completing the signing of AS Roma shot-stopper Alisson ahead of La Liga giants Real Madrid.
Chelsea desperately keen on Brazilian
Chelsea and Belgium international goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has only a season left on his deal and should he fail to pen a new contract, the Blues could look to sell the Atletico Madrid loanee this summer transfer window.
He Blues have been exploring possible replacements for their first choice goalkeeper and Brazil international Alisson has become one of the options on their transfer wishlist.
Marca claims that the West London outfit are the closest to landing the South American as they are closer to matching his £62million valuation.
Real Madrid also interested in Roma star
Champions League holders Real Madrid have also reportedly made the Roma star one of their priority transfer targets for the summer.
But the Los Blancos have already had a £35million bid turned down and are reluctant to go beyond that offer.
Marca suggests that the 25-year-old is keen to join the La Liga giants but the Spanish side are reportedly distant with AS Roma.
Earlier in the week, the Serie A side’s sporting director Monchi claimed that the South American could be offloaded this summer window.
