Liverpool vs Southampton: Klopp Sends Warning Ahead Of St Mary’s Clash

Jurgen Klopp is leading his men to the St. Mary’s Stadium for their next premier league game against Southampton on Sunday.

And the German boss is already asking Virgil Van Dijk to brace himself for an unpleasant atmosphere that awaits him at his former club.

The former Southampton player joined Liverpool for £75million last month (which made him the most expensive defender in football history), and he will be playing against his former side for the first time on Sunday.

His new manager Jurgen Klopp is already predicting that Southampton fans won’t give him a joyful welcome at St Mary’s on Sunday, and Klopp is asking the Dutchman to ignore any hostility.

Liverpool won the Saints 3-0 in the premier league back in November, and Klopp believes the return leg won’t be a ‘normal game’ this time around for Van Dijk.

Liverpool are currently sitting on the third spot on the premier league table, and they will try earning all three points at St Mary’s to remain ahead of fourth-placed Chelsea.

The premier league is slowly coming to an end, and this is no time to drop points!

After the game against the Saints, Klopp will lead his side to Portugal to clash with Porto in the first leg of their Champions League round-of-16 duel next Wednesday.
