25-year-old Chelsea man likely to join Real Madrid – Not Hazard

Charlie Adam feels La Liga Champions Real Madrid are more likely to secure the signature of Belgium international Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea rather than David De Gea of Manchester United.

Real need goalkeeper

The Spanish outfits are speculated to be in the transfer market to land a world-class safe hand in the summer window after a forgettable domestic season for Zinedine Zidane and his team.

The La Liga giants are in the fourth position in the Spanish La Liga and 19 points adrift FC Barcelona after six stalemates and four losses in their opening 21 matches.

Real want Courtois or De Gea

Real have been constantly linked with a switch to sign the Red Devil shot-stopper since his emerging as the English Premier League’s best shot-stopper over the last three or four years.

Thibaut Courtois replaced Spaniard David De Gea at Atletico Madrid on loan from West London side Chelsea when the Spaniard international moved to Old Trafford in 2011.

The Belgium international returned to Stamford Bridge in 2014 and the Chelsea safe hand has helped the club to win two English Premier League titles and the Carabao Cup.

Stoke midfielder Adam feels the Chelsea goalie is a more feasible signing for Real Madrid than David De Gea this summer transfer window.
