Liverpool were reportedly dealt a big transfer blow after one of the most exciting prospects on the Spanish football scene snubbed their offer in favour of staying in Spain.
Real Madrid youngster David de la Vibora snubbed offers from Liverpool and other major European sides to sign a new deal at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
This is according to the publication from respected Spanish newspaper AS which claimed that the 16-year-old defender also received offers from four clubs apart from Premier League title challengers Liverpool.
Italian Serie A champions Juventus, French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain as well as the Premier League duo of Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool also had offers snubbed by the young Spanish player.
David de la Vibora is yet to make a senior appearance at Real Madrid but he’s highly thought of by club officials which explains why the European champions were keen to hand him his first professional contract.
Vibora is certainly one for the future with the likes of club skipper Sergio Ramos, French World Cup winner Raphael Varane, Nacho Fernandes and Jesus Vallejo still ahead of him in the pecking order.
Recent reports also claim that Real Madrid could sign Chelsea centre back David Luiz on a free transfer in the summer to boost the squad defensively.
