Belgium international forward Eden Hazard has disclosed that the key to Chelsea’s success under manager Antonio Conte is the relentless tactical work they put in training.
Conte’s successful debut season
The Italian boss was an instant success at Chelsea after he was appointed to replace Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2016.
Antonio Conte led the Blues to the English Premier League title as they did well during the manager’s debut first season in England.
However, the Blues struggled for consistency in his second season in charge as the Blues slumped to a fifth-position finish in the English Premier League and missed out on UEFA Champions League qualification.
Impressive end to campaign
The West Londoners did manage to end the campaign on a positive note, as Eden Hazard fired the Blues to a 1-0 victory over Man United in the Emirates FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium earlier in the month.
And the Belgian has opened up about the work that the blues do tactically behind the scenes under Antonio Conte at Chelsea.
Hazard told BT Sport that with manager Antonio Conte in charge, it’s more tactics in training.
It remains to be viewed if Antonio Conte will remain in charge at Stamford Bridge beyond this summer or not.
