Liverpool paid £10 Million to Hull City for the signature of Andrew Robertson during the summer transfer window, before sealing another deal for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on deadline day.
Robertson was brought into Anfield to solve the left back issues at the club, but the Scotland player has mainly warmed the bench since the start of this season under Jurgen Klopp.
The German manager has preferred Alberto Moreno in his starting XI in each game, even though he was only able to start just two premier league games last term.
The 24-year-old is making some improvements this season and he has already started 9 premier league games for Liverpool.
However, as far as Liverpool’s transfers are concerned, the Anfield club are linked with another left back in the person of Alejandro Grimaldo.
Calcio Mercato made it known that the Merseyside club, as well as Serie A champions Juventus, are interested in the Benfica defender and have been told the Portuguese club would only sell him for something in the region of €40M.
Liverpool can bring the 22-year-old to Anfield for €40M as they need a reliable left back for the long term who can do what Andy Robertson can’t do.
Alejandro’s current contract with Benfica will expire in 2021, and we look on if the Spanish defender would agree to make a move to England.
