Liverpool table £88 million to sign ‘attack-minded’ defender

Liverpool tables £88 million to sign Yerry Mina.

The latest report disclosed that Liverpool are in talks with La Liga toppers, Barcelona, for their central defender.

The player happens to be Columbia international, Yery Mina.

It further added that the Reds have tabled an offer worth £88 million to Barcelona over the players.

With Barcelona ready to give Coach Valverde a chance to pick his players, the Columbia will be on his way out of the Spanish league.

As Valverde prefers to use the likes of Gerrard Pique and Samuel Umtiti ahead of Yerry Mina.

So far since joining Barcelona in the winter transfer, he has made only four appearances.

The Columbian international had performed well for his home country in the 2018 Russian World Cup scoring 3 goals in 3 appearances.

But the same cannot be said of Barcelona, where he gets limited playing chances, as he is mostly relegated to the bench.

However, an offer coming from Liverpool may be a saving grace for him because moving to England will guarantee him more playing time.

The issue at hand is that aside from Liverpool, the likes of Everton, Fernabache and Borussia Dortmund have all shown interest in the player.

But Barcelona had stated it would only sell him out to the highest bidder.

This was one of the major reasons Liverpool tabled such a huge amount on the defender.
