David’s current deal with Man City will expire in 2019 and the citizens are understood to be keen on handing him a 12-month extension to extend his stay at the Etihad Stadium.
Silva has mainly captained his side this season due to the absence of Kompany, and has been brilliant for Pep Guardiola’s side.
In 15 appearances in all competitions so far this term, the Spanish star who earns around $209,000 each week, has scored one goal and has provided 9 assists.
