While a deal is yet to be confirmed, Man United manager Ole Gummar Solskjaer has expressed his desire for Spanish star Juan Mata to remain at the club ahead of the coming season.
Juan Mata was a major part of the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer team that had a winning streak when he first took over the job from former boss Jose Mourinho.
The former Red Devils forward stated that he hopes Juan Mata is able to agree on a deal with the club to have him stay put as his contract with the club expires at the end of the season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits that Juan Mata is a special and fantastic player who still has a lot to offer the team but noted that the decision would be left to the player to make.
Juan Mata has been praised for the good form so far but he will have to agree on a new deal with the club before the summer transfer window.
However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had earlier hinted that a number of players will be leaving the team because they have not shown a level of commitment and sacrifice but there is no doubt that Juan Mata will not be a part of it as there is already an open show of love for him.
