Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has made it known recently that his side will give Luke Shaw a new contract to extend his stay at Old Trafford.
Shaw has struggled for relevance since Jose Mourinho took over the mantle of leadership at the Theater of dreams.
The Portuguese tactician has questioned Luke’s commitment and fitness levels, and it was speculated the former Southampton player is destined to leave Old Trafford.
But the Englishman is getting better and has proved he still has all it takes to become a first-team player at Manchester United.
Shaw was part of the party that beat Huddersfield Town 2-0 in the premier league last Saturday.
And manager Jose Mourinho has made it known he is set to offer Luke a new contract.
The 22-year-old’s progress at Manchester United has been hindered by injuries (including the brutal one he sustained in 2015), and he has missed lots of games in the last three years.
But his manager is convinced things are getting better for him, and Jose is hopeful he is now turning a corner.
The England international has completed 90 minutes in his last five English top flight games and he will hope he can get more minutes against Newcastle United on Sunday.
