Mourinho gets big reply over Fred’s treatment

Each time Manchester United suffer a defeat, manager Jose Mourinho always get himself into some form of controversies that will definitely get attention.

The Old Trafford side were again defeated at home in the Champions League game against Juventus on Tuesday night.

The Portuguese boss, therefore, hinted at not having the same quality as his Italian opponents at the back despite praising the performance of Victor Lindelof and Chris Smalling after the game.

A journalist Rob Blanchette has blamed Mourinho for being inferior and insecure with his side, arguing that it should not be the case knowing how much he has spent in the market for players since his arrival.

The journalist added that Mourinho’s treatment of Brazilian midfielder Fred has been unfair after bringing him from Shakhtar Donetsk with a fee of £52 million but refused to make use of him.

The last time the 20-year-old player was seen on the field in the Red shirt was on September 29 against West Ham and was an unused substitute against Juventus on Tuesday night.

The journalist, therefore, query the former Chelsea boss for buying the Brazilian midfielder with such an amount when he knows he will not be used and also that he has need of defenders.
