Liverpool star player Emre Can has asked his team-mates to go tough on Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United side when they clash at Anfield on Saturday. The German midfielder also said his club are set to ‘dominate’ the game, with the view of ending the visitors’ current unbeaten run.
The red devils will travel to Merseyside with full confidence following their impressive performances so far this season in the premier league. The Old Trafford club have won six of their first seven English top flight matches and are sitting second on the table with same points with leaders Man City.
Liverpool, on the other hand, are currently enduring a difficult time and have won just one of their last four games to find themselves in the 13th position in the premier league table.
And German midfielder Emre Can is quite aware of the importance of the game with his side’s bitter rivals United, and is looking forward to making the meeting a special one.
The 23-year-old, speaking to Liverpool’s official website ahead of the encounter, urged his team-mates ‘to be hard in the tackles’, ‘to dominate the game’, and to ‘score the goals’ when chances are being created.
He, however, admits the game will be a very tough one, as, according to him, Jose Mourinho’s side ‘have done very well this season so far’.
