According to reports, Arsenal manager Unai Emery may sacrifice a key player so as to sign FC Barcelona superstar this summer transfer window.
Arsenal want Gomes
Star midfielder Andre Gomes is allegedly on the Gunners radar this summer transfer window, having heavily struggled for regular playing time at the Catalan club since his arrival.
The La Liga champions paid €35million for Andre Gomes back in 2016, and the Ex- Valencia midfielder was touted to be the long-term successor for Xavi.
He suggested earlier during the year that he is currently enduring “hell” at Nou camp after suggestions he was not justifying his price tag.
Arsenal to offload midfielder
Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo now claim that the Gunners may be forced to offload Wales international Aaron Ramsey due to his tough contract situation.
Aaron Ramsey is thought to be a key member of Unai Emery’s plans, but with only a year remaining on his current contract, they risk permitting the midfielder to walk away for free next year.
As a result, the North London club could offload the 27-year-old creative midfielder and use the money to launch a bid to sign Gomes from FC Barcelona.
Andre Gomes has a deal with the Spanish side until 2021 but is buyout clause is thought to be about £86million.
