English Premier League side Arsenal are reported to have stormed the Italian Serie A side Roma with a bid of about £29 million for the signing of Cengiz Under ahead of the winter transfer window which reopens coming weeks.
The North London side had early sent their scout to watch the player and they have been impressed with the report gotten about the 21-year-old star who is already interesting a number of top European sides, according to Sky Sports.
According to reports, the Italian Serie A side are willing to accept the bid but they will rather prefer he leaves the club at the end of the season as they hope on him to help them seal a top-four finish for a Champions League qualification.
However, Cengiz Under will push for a move away as he is interested in playing in the Premier League in addition to the offer that would be given to him which is way more lucrative than his earnings in AS Roma.
Meanwhile, the addition of Cengiz Under will be a welcome development to the Emirates Stadium knowing that he will fill the space that was left by Danny Welbeck and Wales international Aaron Ramsey.
