Augsburg star player Philipp Max has been heavily linked with a move away from the club in recent times after emerging as a target for Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.
The talented defender has been in the news consistently in recent times due to his links with the red devils, and we shouldn’t be surprised seeing him play at Old Trafford next season.
Max was impressive at Augsburg last season and was able to create up to 13 goals for the club. And while his performances couldn’t prevent his side from finishing the season on the 12th spot of the Bundesliga table, there have been reports that he is set to dump the German club this summer.
According to CalcioInsider, a source close to the player said the German international is ready to upgrade his career by joining Manchester United in England.
The left-back joined Augsburg in 2015 from Karlsruher and has evolved into one of the best in the continent. He has played 91 games for the German club so far in all competitions, and he has scored three goals in the process.
Max represented his country at the 2016 Summer Olympics, but was unfortunately left out of the party travelling to Russia for the World Cup that is starting a few days from now.
