Mourinho Sweating Over Star Player Following Latest Injury Blow

Manchester United star player Phil Jones suffered an injury after he limped off during his side’s recent premier league game over the weekend.

And in a recent development, it is understood that his club are sweating over the severity of the injury, hoping it won’t be something very bad.

The Old Trafford club lost their first game of the 2017-18 season to Huddersfield Town at the John Smith’s Stadium and suffered another blow when Phil was forced off.

Jones has been very much impressive this season for Jose Mourinho’s side and has featured in all of his side’s premier league games this term.

He was removed in the 20th minutes during the Huddersfield game, and he confirmed he had suffered a leg injury.

And according to Metro, Jose Mourinho’s side will discover the severity of the defender’s problem before the end of this week, but it may not be as serious as first feared since he left the field unaided.

Phil was replaced with summer signing Victor Lindelof, but the former Benfica man struggled vehemently to make an impact and was even blamed for one of the two goals scored by the home side.

They will now clash with Swansea City in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night, and Jones will likely miss the game along with Ivorian star player Eric Bailly.

Jose will, however, hope both defenders will be back in time for the weekend premier league game against in-form Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.
