According to French media reports, Premier League giants Chelsea have held discussions with Malcom’s representative about the possibility of a switch to Stamford Bridge this summer transfer window.

Chelsea reportedly open talks with target

French publication Sud-Ouest, as cited by Metro, is claiming that Chelsea have opened talks with the Brazilian’s agent to sound out the possibility of a move to Chelsea.

The 21-year-old has long been heavily linked with a transfer to the English Premier League and he was tipped as a transfer target for both Arsenal and Liverpool in the winter transfer window, but a move failed to materialise.

He netted 12 goals and provided seven assists in 35 French Ligue 1 matches for Bordeaux last term after an impressive season for the French club.

Agent push for move

As per the same report, Malcom’s representative Fernando Garcia has been pushing for a switch away for the Brazilian and he met with the Blues bosses recently in London.

The same report says that Ligue 1 side Bordeaux are likely to ask for a transfer fee of about €50m for the youngster this summer window.

The Blues are yet to make any fresh signings this summer transfer window as they look to attempt and challenge for the English Premier League title next term.
