Sevilla star player Clement Lenglet has been strongly linked with a move away from the Spanish club after emerging as a target for a Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.
And the latest being said about him right now is that the Old Trafford club have made a ‘concrete approach’ to get his signature this summer.
United boss Jose Mourinho is keen on taking advantage of the summer transfer window to reinforce his team, and he desires to add more quality to his defense department in particular.
The Portuguese boss is aiming to sign a new central defender and his side have been linked with various top stars, including Barcelona’s Samuel Umtiti.
Unfortunately, the red devils have suffered some setbacks in their attempts to sign the Frenchman, leaving them with no other choice but to concentrate on other players.
The Old Trafford club have also been linked with Tottenham Hotspur star player Toby Alderweireld, but it was made known that the two sides have not held talks about a possible deal for the talented defender.
And so, L’Equipe are reporting that Manchester United have stepped up their efforts to bring Clement down to Old Trafford this summer.
The talented player was impressive at Sevilla last season and his performances have caught the attention of Manchester United.
Clement was on duty for Sevilla when they beat Manchester United in the Champions League last season, and his fine displays during the game could land him somewhere bigger this summer.
