There are fears that French striker Alexandre Lacazette might not play in the Europa League again this season should the North London team fail to scale through this round of 16.

The North London outfit have been served their round of 16 opponents in a draw which was held on Friday. The Gunners will face French Ligue 1 outfit Rennes in a double leg encounter.

However, Alexandre Lacazette already knows his fate on the double games as he is expected to face a two-game suspension after receiving a Red Card against BATE Borisov in their first leg of their last 32 tie at Belarus.

It has been established by UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body that the former Lyon player was dismissed for elbowing Aleksandar Filipovic in the 86th minute of the game.

However, should the North London outfit fail to scale through the next round Alexandre Lacazette will not see any European football again this season.

Alexandre Lacazette has been instrumental to the Arsenal team. There is no doubt he would be missed by his teammates, especially former Borussia Dortmund star Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.

Meanwhile, the star player has been an unchanged since his coming to the Emirates Stadium.
