According to British media reports, Chelsea are looking at the possibility of signing Richmond Boakye from Serbian side Red Star Belgrade this January.
As reported by the Daily Telegraph, the Premier League Champions are keeping close tabs on Boakye’s situation at the club and could add him to a wishlist of potential forwards recruits for the winter transfer window.
The report states that Blues boss Antonio Conte is a big fan of Boakye, who has played 12 times by his National team.
The same publications state that the west London outfit are also considering possible moves for Belgium striker Christian Benteke and West Ham forward Andy Carroll as the Italian tactician aims to strengthen his squad this winter.
Boakye, 24, has netted a goal in six matches in the UEFA Europa League for his Serbian side this campaign.
The Blues are thought to be in the transfer market for attacking additions this January, with Belgium international striker Michy Batshuayi having failed to convince fans and the Technical crew alike in his role as a deputy striker to Spain international striker Alvaro Morata.
The Premier League Champions have already completed one signing this transfer window after having brought in Everton and England midfielder Ross Barkley.
