According to reports, Arsenal have made an approach for Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema alongside their chase of African Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Malcolm from Bordeaux.

The North Londoners urgently need to reinforce up front this January transfer window as BBC Sport claimed today that forward Alexis Sanchez seems ready for a transfer to Manchester United.

Most rumour points towards the Gunners trying to replace the contract rebel with two players, with Sky Sports claiming a £53million transfer deal for Dortmund striker Aubameyang looks possible.

The Guardian have also linked Arsenal with talks over securing the signature of Malcolm from French Ligue 1 side Bordeaux for about £45million.

Still, the Gunners may not be done there as Don Balon now suggest they’re pursuing the signing of France international striker Karim Benzema for about £35m.
