Reiss Nelson spotted training with Arsenal first team

Players of Arsenal Fc have been going through their last preparations at Arsenal’s training ground – London Colney as the Gunners gear up for a rather tricky away journey to Turf Moor to play Burnley on Sunday afternoon.

Majority of the first team were handed much-needed rest in midweek as the second team put in a disappointing display to lose 1-0 to FC Cologne in Arsenal’s UEFA Europa League group match.

Youngster Reiss Nelson had featured in all the cup matches this campaign heading into the FC Cologne encounter but the starlet was only brought on as a late substitute against Cologne as he was reportedly suffering from a cold.

Reiss Nelson, 17, trained with the remainder of Arsenal’s first team squad at Arsenal’s London Colney training ground on Saturday afternoon but it’s not likely the wonderkid will keep his spot in the Arsenal squad as Arsene Wenger’s team have a couple of attacking players at his disposal.

England international Danny Welbeck is fit for selection after being cleared having been substituted at half-time in what Wenger described as a precaution on Thursday while the likes of Chilean international forward Alexis Sanchez, German Mesut Ozil and Nigerian Alex Iwobi are also hoping to start.

With defender Hector Bellerin expected to return to the starting line up in the right wing-back, Nelson is unlikely to make his way into Arsene Wenger’s plans for Burnley clash.
