Chelsea fans all over the world are so proud of their manager Antonio Conte right now….but such opportunity might not have come, if….
The Italian manager, in a conversation with West Brom boss Tony Pulis after the title-deciding game at the Hawthorns, revealed he could have been sacked at Chelsea.
But for switching and sticking with a 3-4-3 system, perhaps he might not have lasted this term in charge of the west London club.
Pulis alsom confirm that the wise Chelsea manager admitted he would likely have been sacked by the Champions within the first two months of this term had he not changed formation.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte secured the Premier League title last night in his first campaign at Chelsea and in England following Michy Batshuayi’s lone goal in a 1-0 win over Tony Pulis’ side.
However, the West London club had a slow start at the beginning of this campaign with the Italian manager facing early pressure after his successive defeats to Liverpool and Arsenal in the English top flight.
However, he switched back to his 3-4-3 system against Hull City which saw his side going on a 13-match-winning stretch.
And Pulis, like many others around the world, hailed Conte to be a good coach who has a great understanding of the game.
