Former Ajax Amsterdam and Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal (LVG) is convinced that Premier League leaders Liverpool are the best team left in the Champions League this season.
The Champions League has entered the quarterfinal stage and the Reds are one of four English teams in the last eight of this season’s competition.
Retired Dutch tactician LVG told BBC Sport that Liverpool are the best team in the Champions League and that they are better than both Manchester City and Barcelona.
Louis Van Gaal also revealed that the English duo of Liverpool and Manchester City are better than Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona.
He thereafter pointed out that Premier League champions Manchester City play the best football.
Liverpool will face Portuguese champions FC Porto in one of the quarterfinal ties, while Barcelona will face English giants Manchester United.
In the other last eight ties, Manchester City will take on North London giants Tottenham Hotspur while Ajax face Italian champions Juventus.
