Inter Milan star player Antonio Candreva has emerged as a late target for Chelsea this summer with the premier league champions keen on utilising this summer to get their squad more bolstered ahead of a busy campaign next season.
Amid the speculations, Candreva’s agent has refused to rule out a move to Stamford Bridge, and the player himself has recently admitted it is nice to be linked with the west London club.
Antonio Conte and Candreva have both worked together in the Italian national team, and Conte is understood to be interested in reuniting with the winger at Stamford Bridge.
The blues tried signing the Italy international during the January transfer window, but the move could not be materialize. Then the premier league champions intend signing former Real Madrid defender Danilo, but the Brazilian signed a five-year deal with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City instead, and Chelsea are now looking towards Candreva again.
And speaking recently to the Italian press, Candreva states that he is happy in Milan but that it was nice to be spoken of as a Chelsea target.
And his agent Federico Pastorello also didn’t rule out a possible move to Chelsea.
‘He’s happy with the arrival of [Luciano] Spalletti as the new coach.
‘I would say it’s 80 per cent that he stays at Inter but Chelsea? You cannot exclude anything at the moment.’
Chelsea beat Arsenal last week in China and are set to play with Bayern Munich in their next preseason game.
