Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino was on target as five-time world champions Brazil came from a goal down to beat Czech Republic 3-1 in an international friendly played on Tuesday.

Czech Republic took a shock lead in the first half through David Pavelka as Brazil continued their lacklustre performance from the previous game against Panama.

The footballing world was stunned at the weekend after Brazil could only play a 1-1 draw with Panama in their international friendly clash.

Brazil recovered with a better second half showing against the Czechs as they scored three unreplied goals to overturn the deficit from David Pavelka’s strike.

Liverpool star Firmino equalised for the Brazilians shortly after the halftime interval before substitute Gabriel Jesus decided the game for his team.

The Manchester City striker came off the substitute bench to score two goals for Brazil this giving the Selecao a 3-1 win.

Brazil will have to improve on the showings against Panama and Czech Republic if they are to host and win the 2019 COPA America this summer.

Roberto Firmino was the catalyst for the Brazilian comeback against the Czechs and he would be targeting the same role for the Reds in their quest to win the Premier League title this season.
