Deal Close! Man United set to complete move for pacey left-back

Premier League giants Manchester United have dropped plans to sign defender Alex Sandro and will rather target Jose Luis Gaya, as per reports.

Man United drop Sandro interest
According to British media reports, the Red Devils have dropped their plans to land Alex Sandro and will rather switch their focus towards signing Jose Luis Gaya from La Liga side Valencia.

The Daily Mirror is claiming that Man United have identified him as their top target for their left-back position this summer window after dropping their interest in landing Chelsea target Sandro from Serie A champions Juventus.

As per the same report, manager Jose Mourinho had made Alex Sandro United’s top target for the left-back position this summer window, but Man United are not ready to match Juventus’ £50million valuation.

Attention turned
Now, the Red Devils are thought to have turned their focus towards other transfer targets and Jose Gaya has become one of their possible recruits this summer window.

The same report says that Jose Gaya would cost the Red Devils a fee of about £30million this summer window should they seek to sign him for the Old Trafford outfit.

Ashley Young was deployed at left-back last term and the same report says that major doubts still remain about England international full-back Luke Shaw’s Manchester United long-term future.
