The youngster who impressed the blues team was Bertrand Traore. However, when Antonio Conte arrived Stamford Bridge, the Italian boss chose to send him out on loan to Ajax.
The 21-year-old has been superb this season with the Dutch heavyweights. In 35 games for the club, Traore scored 13 goals and was also part of the squad that faced Manchester United in the Europa League final at Stockholm.
However, it appears his heart is still with the English premier league as he recently states that he hopes to be part of Antonio Conte’s plans at Stamford Bridge next term – although he added that he doesn’t yet know what his future holds.
The Burkina Faso international believes he has done enough this season to convince Antonio Conte for a space, and he is now set to return to Chelsea.
When he was asked whether he wants to be in the Chelsea’s first-team next season, he was quick to confess that is what he wants and he’s making a trip back to Chelsea for discussions.
Traore seem set for a major Premier League role while starring under former Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink during the 2015-16 campaign. His fantastic performances earned him a new three-year Chelsea contract last summer.
