AS Monaco midfielder Bernardo Silva has arrived Manchester to thrash out a summer deal amid Manchester United and Manchester City, according to reports.
The 22-year-old has been a standout performer for the Ligue 1 champions in their wonderful outing last season, drawing interest from a number of clubs in Europe.
Both Manchester clubs have been credited with an interest in Silva but reports in Manchester Evening news have it that the midfielder has arrived the city to thrash out a summer deal with Manchester City.
This comes days after Jose Mourinho dismissed reports linking the Portuguese midfielder to the Old Trafford, he said: ‘I think not. Honestly, I think not,
‘But you never know. Good players are always welcome.’
However, Pep Guardiola appears to have moved ahead of their fierce rivals in the pursuit of Bernardo Silva who is rated for £70million.
The midfielder has also hinted at a potential summer move, he said: ‘I am finishing my third season in Monaco, who gave me the opportunity to play at a higher level,’ he said in an interview with Portuguese television network SIC last week.
‘But of course, every player dreams of playing for the best teams and in the best divisions one day. I’m no exception.’
