Arsenal boss Unai Emery is believed to be uninterested in deals involving English players because of the high price tags on them.

The EPL policy of homegrown players might not be observed by the Spanish manager who is believed to be looking abroad for additions to his team in subsequent transfer windows.

As it stands, Arsenal’s minimal British representation will shrink once Aaron Ramsey finally leaves the club at the end of the season knowing that he has refused to have an agreement with the club on a new deal.

The North London club still have Rob Holding, Danny Welbeck as the English players to boast of in the team having let go of Jack Wilshere and Alex Chamberlain.

All the players that were signed in the window by the former PSG boss are foreigners who are believed to have come in for the right price.

However, there are indications that Emery will still not consider any interest in an English player with the only target, Tom Cairney from Fulham believed to be too expensive and overrated.

Meanwhile, it is unclear if Arsenal will be involved in any transfer activity this January after the club chief noted that they are do not believe in the winter window.
