Arsenal to battle Chelsea for 6f tall winger

In less than three months from now, the January transfer window will open and Lille star Nicolas Pepe has welcomed rumors linking him with a move to Arsenal next summer, though the Gunners will face competition from Chelsea and Manchester City.

The player who has enjoyed an excellent campaign so far this season, scoring eight times and laying on a further five assists to guide Lille up to third place in the Ligue 1 table.

Incredibly, only PSG striker Kylian Mbappe (15) has been involved in more goals across Europe’s top five leagues than Pepe (13) this season.

German giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have also been credited with interest while the Ivory Coast international’s form has seen him linked with a move to Arsenal too, Pepe would command a fee of around £44million, and RMC Sport claim Chelsea are also preparing their own move for the winger.

Though the player has ruled out leaving Lille in January as he looks to help the side secure a Champions League berth, but he has suggested he might be more open to a summer switch.

The player was asked what club he preferred amongst Dortmund, Bayern or Arsenal and he replied that they are all big clubs and it is nice they all seek his signature which only signified he was doing something right.
