Chelsea are allegedly seeking a double move for Roma duo Edin Dzeko and Emerson Palmieri, but a major agreement is believed to be missing.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has an obvious toothless attack, with summer signing and Spain international striker Alvaro Morata going six matches without a single goal across all competitions while second choice striker Michy Batshuayi has had more playing time recently but has not been able to solve the issue.
In turn, turning their attention towards a player who topped the Italian Serie A goalscoring charts last campaign and who had scored 39 goals in 51 matches in all competitions would look like a brilliant idea.
However, as per Sky Sport Italia football journalist Gianluca Di Marzio football journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, there is an issue with the Blues pursuit of the striker, as they have not agreed on personal terms for the experienced striker.
According to reports, Edin Dzeko and defender Palmieri will leave in a deal worth about €60million in total, and while the Brazilian is ready to move to West London, there’s still a stumbling block in Edin Dzeko’s contract with Chelsea.
With just one week to go until the close of the window, the Blues will undoubtedly hope to complete the two deals as soon as possible, as while the former Manchester City striker solves an issue up front, Brazilian defender Palmieri addresses another too at the back.
