Klopp Demands Improvement From £53m Signing

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has sounded a note of warning to midfielder Naby Keita over his performances since he joined the club in the summer.

The former Borussia Dortmund and Mainz 05 boss talked about the Guinean international star and his midfield showings for the Reds during his pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of the Premier League clash with Watford at the Vicarage Road.

Jurgen Klopp demanded for an improvement from Naby Keita as he works his way back to the Reds squad from a hamstring injury.

He sustained the hamstring problem during the penultimate international break and it ruled him out of action for the best part of one month.

The 23-year-old has endured a frustrating spell since he joined Liverpool during this summer’s transfer window from German Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig.

Liverpool were said to have paid around £53m to secure his signing from the Europa League campaigners.

He started his debut season at Liverpool in the starting XI before he lost his place to skipper Jordan Henderson.

Fellow summer signing Fabinho has been the recipient of that position since Naby Keita and the aforementioned Henderson suffered respective hamstring problems.

Despite Keita’s struggles at the club, the Reds have maintained an unbeaten start to the new Premier League season.
