According to reports, Premier League giants Arsenal have made a shortlist of a potential replacement for head coach Arsene Wenger in the summer transfer window and, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is one of the names mentioned.
Three names mentioned
Monaco coach Jardim Leonardo, Manchester City’s Mikel Arteta and Germany’s national team boss Joachim Loew are also thought to be considered by Arsenal, who seem they could finally be replacing manager Arsene Wenger from his position after 22 seasons at Arsenal.
Brendan Rodgers took Merseyside outfit Liverpool as close to a Premier League title as they’d been in seasons and his Celtic team have dominated the Scottish league since his arrival at the club.
Joachim Loew has done a good job at French Ligue 1 side Monaco but he is believed to be unhappy as his top stars keep being offloaded from under his nose.
Spain international Mikel Arteta, who played under Arsene Wenger at the North London club, is presently part of the Manchester City coaching crew.
Germany boss could be lured
Joachim Lowe, who has since transformed German football, has been the head coach of the national team since 2006 and whilst he’s not indicated that he wants to move into club football management, the temptation of taking over from the French tactician could appeal to him.
