Marcos Llorente

Arsenal are believed to have joined top La Liga clubs like Sevilla and Atletico Madrid in the race to secure the signature of Real Madrid starlet Marcos Llorente this summer transfer window.

European Champions Real Madrid are considering letting the highly-rated youngster leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer window, due to the rising levels of competition for playing spot.

The 22-year-old midfielder last season, was on loan at Deportivo Alaves – playing 32 matches. Despite showing a lot of promises, playing in the Copa del Rey final, the youngster has now dropped in the pecking order at Real Madrid and could be allowed to leave.

According to The Mirror, the La Liga Champions are now looking to send him out on loan once again, or seal a deal which would include a buy-back clause.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is understood to rate Llorente very highly and is set to add him to his midfield at Arsenal following Real Madrid willingness to sell the midfielder.

Despite having a star studded midfield at the Emirates Stadium, with midfielders like Granit Xhaka, Aaron Ramsey Francis Coquelin, and Mohamed Elneny all vying for a starting shirt, Arsene Wenger could be ready to add a talented youngster to his already studded midfield brigade.

However, Arsenal are likely to face stiff competition in the race for Llorente’s signature as both La Liga giants Sevilla and Atletico Madrid are reportedly trailing the 22-year-old.
