Complete details of the injury setback are yet to be disclosed, but the French starlet was substituted after only 20 minutes. The hot prospect has had a tough start to this League season.
His pre-season tour was disrupted by an ankle problem he suffered towards the end of last season and unfortunately, he was unable to participate in Arsenal’s Australia tour and China because of the setback.
The young midfielder recuperated for the start of the League season and featured in a couple of Under 23 matches, but wasn’t fully fit to feature in the League Cup or the UEFA Europa League.
He may have had an opportunity to play against Serbian side Red Star Belgrade on Thursday night if not for this latest injury setback.
Jeff Reine-Adelaide is a part of the senior team squad and played in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup last campaign.
It seem like the player won’t be available for the upcoming Carabao Cup game against Norwich City, and will have to hold on until the English FA Cup starts up in 2018 season for his next chance.
