Revealed! Arsenal close to completing club-record transfer.

Deal Almost Agreed

Arsenal supporters have been handed a major transfer boost as it’s been reported that the North London side are edging closer to agreeing to a fee for Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The 28-year-old forward has established himself as one of Europe’s most prolific strikers, scoring 141 goals in 213 matches for the German Bundesliga outfit since joining them back in 2013.

Prolific goalscorer

Further, the African bagged 40 goals in 46 games last term, his most prolific season to date, and so the Gunners are surely eyeing a player of his calibre.

As reported by BBC Sport, the striker could soon be a Gunner as they’re believed to be edging closer to securing his signature in a deal worth about £60million.

Major Obstacle

However, one major challenge at this point is the fact that top BBC Sports Journalist Ornstein adds Borussia Dortmund want to have on standby a replacement before they let him leave for Arsenal, which is thoughtful, considering his goals have been vital to the side for so long and they have to replace him as soon as they can.

With only three days left in the winter transfer window though, that will certainly be a source of worry for Arsenal who will want this transfer deal completed soonest so that they can welcome the forward to the Emirates Stadium this month.
